She's 200 miles away and won't move because of my 90 year old grandma, but she's missing out on so much. My dd's are 7 and 3 and these are the golden years in my opinion. She won't even think about moving closer until my grandma dies (but hopefully that could be years away). Is it wrong to hope she'd move closer? Have thought about moving ourselves, but jobs are here and we would have to pull kids out of school.

YABU It is your mum's choice. If she moves, she leaves her mother all alone in her final years. You have your own family now.

YABVVVU and selfish I am sorry to say..

Your mum lives near her own mother, who needs her much more than you do.

Did you move 200 miles away?

Is this a wind up? YABVVVVVU!!! Why on earth should she move? If you want to see her more often then you can move closer.
