Diet coke! I'm sure it's worse for you than alcohol in the quantities I consume...

CristinaTheAstonishing · 07/06/2011 22:58

Thanks, 60ftdoll :)

Mandy2003 · 07/06/2011 22:58

FabbyChic · 07/06/2011 23:05

I don't drink.

Find people who drink daily quite sad.

Interesting, why is that, then?

A nice bottle glass of chardonnay :)

EricNorthmansMistress · 07/06/2011 23:13

FabbyChic you smoke every day! You are just as dependent on a harmful substance on a daily basis as someone who has a glass of wine nightly. There isn't a moral hierarchy of moderate addictions - however there may be a physical hierarchy in that daily fags will kill you quicker than a daily tipple. People in glass houses

katvond · 07/06/2011 23:16

Camomile tea with Valium and a spliff ;)

Fecklessdizzy · 07/06/2011 23:16

Sainsbury's finest budget rose ( can't make keyboard do the little accent thingy ... )

And I'm feeling surprisingly cheery, thanks ...

CheerfulYank · 07/06/2011 23:18

I don't have a perception about Brits drinking more or less because most of my friends and I drink fairly heavily on occasion. I don't drink every day though...in fact it's probably been about a month or so since I've had alcohol. Not opposed to it, it's just more a social thing now. My husband drinks a beer or two most days. I can't drink it because of gluten issues or I might. I like wine and would drink it if I had it, but rarely think to buy it. :)

katvond · 07/06/2011 23:18

And I don't drink but I find people that do funny :)
I don't drink due to a heart thingy plus can't stand the taste.
But happy for others to

Thanks for the honest answer. I have visited your wonderful country on many occasions, the last time was when I visited Alaska to climb Denali. However, the impression I got, rightly or wrongly, was that you thought us a load of piss heads.

Meant to add, you're right, we are a load of piss heads.
