I can't stand her, bragging about her knitting, her "vintage push bike" that her husband bought her, that fecking roll-top bath... Yeah, I know she's not real, but still... she just PUSHES my buttons at the moment. Let's see... things I'M LOVING AT THE MOMENT: The pile of poo in my driveway when the local fox ripped open a bag of DD's dirty nappies... "umm" (flutters eyelashes) that I finally have running water in the family bath after six weeks... "ummm" (smiles at thought of DH) the three-for-two paperback novels that DH bought me for our wedding anniversay... "ummmmmmmmm"

I love the Aldi ad with the old bird who doesn't like tea, she likes gin.

Now that's aspirational Grin

NettoSuperstar · 06/06/2011 16:10

It sounds to me like she's saying, 'Muller Corner', in a broad Yorkshire accent.
I always look to see if it's a new flavour of yoghurt.

NettoSuperstar · 06/06/2011 16:12

Oh, and I also own a coffee machine and grinder so no instant for meGrin

TheCrackFox · 06/06/2011 16:22

I haven't seen the Kenco ad.

Agreed that the aldi's ad is genius.

BrainThrustMastery · 06/06/2011 17:16

Sardine I hope the spokes and chain on your vintage bike wheels got all rusty in your rolltop bath Grin

That advert makes me Angry. She's such a Smuggy McSmuggerson!

SardineQueen · 06/06/2011 18:30

We're not allowed vintage bicycles where I am now.

We do get a blue and orange pill at 7 though and then turkey twizzlers.

DAMN YOU MILLICANO~!!!!

LittleMissFlustered · 06/06/2011 21:52

Sardine, I'm not, but I have often pondered it. I suspect that my campaigns would only appeal to certain sub-sects of MN though Wink

These replies have made me laugh so hard! Just sorry it took me so long to get back on here to read them.

Millicano is shit, like Maxwell House in a posh tin. I thought that woman was someone, on the basis that you couldn't make such a nobber up.

KateMiddletonsEyebrows · 12/06/2011 23:03

It's Keeley Hawes - and I usually love her so much - but this is dreadful.

there's no way a woman with a vintage push bike would drink instant and we all know that. who drinks instant coffee these days?

I saw this for the first time today and was only half watching, is it Keely Hawes? If not it someone so like her that I thought it was one of the awful Boots adverts she does - odd casting either way.

LithaR · 12/06/2011 23:19

This advert is on a par with the sodding co-ops ads. Smug annoying women.
Why can't more ads be funny like the aldi one.

SuePurblybilt · 12/06/2011 23:21

I do not know who she is. Is that the Boots ad for mature skin cream? With the nudge nudge Paris dirty weekend implications?

thisonehasalittlecar · 12/06/2011 23:46

Aaaaah, googling that Aldi ad has cleansed me after watching 'Good Wife' on 4od where they showed the Millicano ad about 6 times. I actually tried it last week and thought I might get some but I'm not going to now. Hear that Kenco? Not unless you bring back Cherie Lunghi in a 4x4 and have her run Keeley Hawes and her vintage bike into a ditch.
