Moving to Australia or staying here in Blighty (nw england). I used to think it was a given but now I have so much to consider. We have a home, kids go to a good school, we are ok financially. Of course its been nicer with the good weather and miserable in winter but this decision isnt as easy as I'd thought it would be.

Would value the views of anyone who has lived in both places or has moved (either way).
AIBU to be doubting?

Sorry that was meant to be $750,000

I have found the opposite here angry. I moved from cosmopolitan to backwater so that wont be an issue.
The costs scare me though.

Sorry to butt in, but I was interested in swash's comment about people in the UK being more open minded. I am from a mix of NZ and the UK (mostly NZ), and always thought it was the other way round, with regards to other cultures etc!

What was your particular experience swash? I wonder if people tend to think their 'home' place is the more open minded?
