I know I am BU and there are much more important things in life but I'm suffering from serious phone envy.

DH has got an all singing and dancing android (which he never shuts up about) and ALL my friends said in whiny Veruca Salt voice seem to have iphones or similar.

My contract isn't up until November so I will just have to wait patiently and not arrange an unfortunate toilet bowl accident for crappy Nokia

I don't want to upgrade either as I want the option to change contract and provider.

Would buy one off ebay in the meantime but they all seem to be at least £200!!!

What phones do you all have and are they fabulous?

Absolutely love my HTC Wildfire!!! The screen is big enough for the internet but it is still small enough to use properly as a phone. I found the Desire and IPhone too big for my small hands!

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2011 16:01

I have a htc desire and am already diverting newer, better phones. Can't upgrade till march!

Yummygummybear · 03/06/2011 16:02

I have just taken delivery of a new Samsung Galaxy S II. Which according to recent reviews is even better than the iphone 4 Wink.

I can't wait for it to charge & for the new sim to come to life so I can play....!

Yummygummybear · 03/06/2011 16:03

I should add that I love the iphone but as I have an ipod I would try something a bit different.

Diverting = Wanting. Bloody ipad

blabalalalablabla, have the HTC Wildfire and I love it. The screen is just the right size and I find it very easy to use. Comes with lots of useful apps already installed and of course the option to download more from the Android market. So far, I haven't paid for a single app, the ones I have were all free, including the Kindle app. Camera is fine, as is the videocam. I have also copied a large selection of my iTunes library onto my phone. I have had it around 9 months now and am really happy with it.

chatee · 03/06/2011 23:18

another with the samsung galaxy s 2 who has just come out of the dark ages too but was very happy with the service from orange (do you know you can upgrade 90 days before your contract expires?)i was counting down the days til my upgrade!! but hubby is a little more patient and is hoping that the htc sensation will be released on orange this month

shineoncrazydiam0nd · 03/06/2011 23:25

I am an Apple slut and have an iphone, an ipad, a macbook and an ipod.

I love the iphone a lot. Bought it outright though as didn't want to be tied into some 100 year contract at £40 a month and end up paying double for it.

khaleesi · 03/06/2011 23:35

have had iphone4 for a while now and i'm sorry but i do love it and never had any problems with it! i think if you haven't got huge amounts of money to spare you do have to make sacrifices for a gadget like this.

I have very useful apps on it and i use them daily. i get along with the size of the screen very well and i use it to read books quite often. i have tried android and symbian smartphones before but i just don't get along with the os and interface.. I think it's a matter of preference in the end but if it's a smartphone you're after, there are some out there that aren't ridiculously expensive :)

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2011 23:37

Tech radar have published a comparison of the galaxy 2 and the sensation today. Samsung galaxy comes out in front.

I have a wonderful iPad for the train. I totally love it because I can enlarge the text lying in bed and read without my glasses, for the first time in 40 years.
