to do some housework (not hoovering!!) before 8 am

i get woken up mostly 6 am or 6.30 am by DD, i like to give her breakfast, dvd on and then do some bits ie hanging washing , general tidying. DH thinks im totally out of order and manic to do this. apparently it annoys him to hell and we had a big argument about it and he stormed out. i cant see what is the problem im not asking him to do it, usually he sleeps in!

Maybe his issue is the choice of babysitter in the morning, DVDs in the morning is odd IMO.

YANBU - our dcs get up between 5 and 6. why not use the time instead of sitting on our hands and then rushing the rest of the day?

Your husband sounds like a twat. I would make a point of hoovering the bedroom at 6 am tomorrow.

Is it making him feel guilty that he's lying around doing nothing? He'd rather the housework was done out of sight so that he doesn't have to feel bad about it? Childish.
