I think people will look back on him in 20 years time and feel the same amount of derision for him as people of today feel towards Hughie Green.

I know that the country will go into a 4 months X factor worship as per usual, but I really hope it is unsucsessful this year. I used to watch it however I think it is a ghastly and manipulative gladiators arena. Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel in particular last year were vilified. I just wish it would go away.

Ditto for his X Factor launch in american, I hope the americans raise 2 fingers to it and it is a flop.

They won't fall flat on their faces unfortunately. I loathe these shows and I despise all the panto villain crap that goes on for months beforehand. It is all utterly contrived and dishonest.

Must be a laugh riot working for their PR agency though.

It's all very well saying just don't watch it. Most intelligent adults I know don't. The problem is the thousands of easily influenced youngsters that do.

YABU.I really like Simon Cowell.He is a animal lover and supports the animal charity PETA.I also think he is very clever,charming and funny.I wish all men had his honesty.

I like him, he seems like a very nice person, but his entourage of oddball ex-girlfriends (Sinitta) and protege's (Cheryl) annoy me. But I have no real interest in the shows (sorry Simon).

I also liked Dierdre Barlow's mother. "Skirt no bigger than a belt, too much eyeliner and roots as dark as her soul." Genius.
