No it doesn't but DD is at her dads so I'm able to have a lazy bank holiday

god no. I have a 4 yo and a 3 yo. Lazy day to me has meant letting them help themselves to food like cereal bars, watching TV all morning, all the toys and puzzles and colouring pens out.

Whilst I laid in bed till 9am, and then sat on the sofa since!!

Very lazy day here. Yes, means more mess for me to pick up later tonight, but its worth it!!

sorry but it doesn't mean lots of work - it means chilling out and not bothering about work for the day - watch telly, cook biscuits, play games, get the playdough out or whatever
it might take lots of work cleaning up the day after though

THat's what I mean - you can't just leave the kids to their own devices and expect them to be happy with it - you have to have some kind of activity - colouring, cooking, jig-saws etc. The kids actually need input, you can't just expect them to play with eachother and their toys exclusively.
