Noooo ... Shock

This wasn't supposed to be happening for at least another 10 3 years!

There's a group of them wanting to go, 4 girls, 2 boys, one of them is dd's 'boyfriend'.

I say 'boyfriend' because she's got absolutely no intention of kissing him (I've told her that her tongue will fall out Wink ) and won't hold his hand because "boys don't wash their hands properly when they've had a wee" Grin

But still ...! There will be BOYS!!

I'm stalling madly and haven't given her an answer yet.

Should I let her go?

Gah, why do they have to grow up

At that age having a boyfriend is usually more a status thing than anything real i.e. a chance to show off to your friends. I wouldn't worry about it. If your DD was majorly rebelling it might be different, but I would relax about this.

Aw small potato, no fair!

Lesley, I suspect you're right. Still scares the shit out of me though!

Wayne's World!

My first date was to see... a submarine movie.

I shit you not.

It's what happens after the cinema that worries me.

If you can't pick your dd up as soon as the film is over, maybe you could manacle the group before they go so that they all have come back to your house afterwards to be unchained thus ensuring that no boy can get your precious dd alone?

Sterling plan izzy. That could just work!

LaWeasal - what a romantic eh? Grin

I think it's really healthy that she has friends of both sexes. Let her go - I can't imagine why you think anything awful's going to happen.

I know. It was a beautiful moment. sitting together, watching as they nearly died in splendid technicolour.

Later on we hung out in his bedroom, and he threw his collection of gold football player medal things out the window. (I have no idea why)

I swear he was nice really!

Although I did get dumped by email. Hmm

Sooty, I'm staying well away from imagining anything! That, I can promise!

Plenty more fish in the sea eh LaWeasal Grin
