"my 4 yr old has never had to be told off as he is a complete angel". She didn't say it tongue in cheek by very seriously, whilst looking at my little "angel" throwing his food across the table!

Really, does anyone think their child is a total angel? can it be true that she never has had to tell him off at 4 yrs old?? Really?????

Or am I being totally unreasonable and a little bit jealous as I could NOT say them same for my kids!

I am. I am.

I do have a stalker. Bupcakes stalks me all the time.

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 20:31
Blush

Am touched that you would attack an imposter as you did. Very sweet.

TheBolter · 26/05/2011 20:31

Ah well, her child will probably grow into an insufferably boring grown up! Grin

AgentZigzag · 26/05/2011 20:32

'Well I did it for the alchi-appreciation society your so fond of....'

Huh? What, suggesting people who don't mind an alcoholic drink are cunts? Confused

My pickled brain can't work out the connection.

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 20:32

Apparently Country Manor is a type of beverage?

AgentZigzag · 26/05/2011 20:37

So it is got quite good reviews as well.

You're not a cunt then Grin

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 20:53

Oh no.

Just can't spell.

Grin
LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 20:54

Oh gosh. It's a boxed beverage. Jesus.

LostMyIdentityAlongTheWay · 26/05/2011 20:55

Never mind. Decant it into a Cath Kidston jug, hold your nose and neck it. Needs must, love...

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 20:56

No the jugs are a bit tacky.

Plus I'm pregnant.

Even if I wasn't I don't think I'd drink from a box.

Is it nice?

'It's a boxed beverage'

I know!

No bottle to swig from should equal no sale IMO.

But then anything under 40% vol doens't make it into our house.

I make sure.

LostMyIdentityAlongTheWay · 26/05/2011 21:00

I wouldn't know. Don't buy it. I'm strictly a Sainsburys/Tesco/Morrisons (don't stoop to Asda, sorry...) value red or white. Country Manor? that's a LABEL, that is. There's posh, bach...!

AgentZigzag · 26/05/2011 21:01

hehe 'doesn't', see?

LostMyIdentityAlongTheWay · 26/05/2011 21:04

Just got the irony. Lady with the rude-y name..... you wrote 'Gosh' in your post. That's really funny, actually!!

But good on you, not to swear in your post. I think so, anyway Confused

NotaMopsa · 26/05/2011 21:06

i say it about one of my dc

he is 18

LadyOfTheCuntryManor · 26/05/2011 21:08

I say gosh a lot.

Oh "bach". That's Welsh for little. I think. First language is Arabic, but I hear old people saying bach a lot.

40%? Isn't that straight liquor like erm whiskey?

SandStorm · 26/05/2011 21:10

Next time you see them you should gently tell off said child - that should pop her 'reprimand cherry'.

clare40 · 26/05/2011 22:21

Thank you for replying and helping me keep some perspective on this. I don't see this "friend" very often, and definitely won't be seeing her much after today!

As for her "angel", I can't deny he is a very calm and self contained little boy - but hell, if you say no to him he goes ballistic!!! He also has a tendency to snatch anything he wants......ok ladies I am clutching at straws here, but what I am saying he is no angel and definitely as his moments like any normal healthy 4 yr old.

pigletmania · 26/05/2011 22:26

She is probably lying! Its like those couples who say that they never argue, yeh right! She will probably eat her words later on.

SpeedyGonzalez · 27/05/2011 23:43

Yes, I bet she'll be eating her words one day, and when she does...give her ketchup!

Grin
Joolyjoolyjoo · 27/05/2011 23:46

Sigh. I have friends like this. I must be doing something very wrong with my 3, as they seem like monsters in comaprisons. My only advice is to find a friend whose dc are worse behaved than yours- tis the only way to feel better

LordOfTheFlies · 27/05/2011 23:50

LadyoftheCuntryManor- if you call your child a "little bugger" you know that you will one day have to have the Chat about why that's not a nice word.
I had to explain to DS 11yo why he mustn't say bugger and what it means. He went from cats bum face to huge grin in 0.2 secondsBlush

NotaMopsa · 28/05/2011 15:16

Clare40 'healthy' infers that you think the child with angelic behaviour is somehow unhealthy. Why is he just not sweet and well behaved some kids are !

WeirdAcronymNotKnown · 28/05/2011 15:22

Hehehe love Bluddy's response. And it's actually true, tantrums really are an important part of child development.

Either that or this woman is just spoiling her child and gives in to their every whim?
