You go to tescos to get a few bits to last the week before payday but you have to put some of it back as you don't have enough money....

You have pasta every single day for dinner...

You cash in the change pot....

You are making me realise that my 'deprived' childhood maybe wasn't so deprived.....

---and that my skint friends probably aren't that skint.

I'm off to feel humble now.

I think the thing is, the "for free" bit, gets abused, certainly know there are some that just hang out there. :(
Your right though, things do get lost in chat alot

Oh, people here are mostly kind. We share all kinds of things out.

It is very difficult to approach people for fear of being insulting . My mum was given endless clothes for us as children we just didn't have any money at all. Our grandparents paid for us to have a good education but I never had all teh 'kit' that most of the girls had. At the time I was mortified but looking back I see I was actually very lucky. I love to give to friends etc if I am in a good situation money wise which is not that often but feels good to see someone who is a bit down on their luck have an easier ride for a while.I think a MN freebie board is a great idea. Anyone can need it at any time Life is unpredictable

Is there a 'for free' bit on here? Where is it?

You use your boots points to buy a pint of milk!

cornflowers · 27/05/2011 23:25
