Will it be unbearably hot for her?
Will it just be completely unmanageable?

we went to the Seychelles with a seven month old who was sick at the time!! (that is, a first baby who was sick for the first time....). We took her to A&E with high temperature the night before, and the doctor said, go - she will be fine. and it was great. she loved it! we had the carrycot thingie for her on the flight which was invaluable - i am not sure if they do those any more. once there, she did do most afternoon naps inside the bungalo, but she also loved napping in the sun lounger by the pool! And i agree, it's a great age to travel - once they start wanting to crawl or run around the plane, it is much trickier. agree that it would be very handy to have an extra seat if you don't get a seat with a carrycot in front of it. at least insist on extra leg room!
so long as you are prepared that the holidays with little ones are nothing like those without - you'll be fine! Grin. also, obviously, make sure suncream is on even when there is no sun. And my DD was just being weaned as well so i took some baby porridge, etc., as well as the Babycook so i could mush some carrots, etc - whatever i could find (have noticed, though, babies don't seem to eat even nearly as much in a hotter climate than what they are used to. So if that happens, don't worry so long as you DD is drinking.
on another trip, to Mustique (a tiny island off Barbadoes) DD, who was 2, got an ear infection and the hotel sorted out an English speaking doctor immediately, who was fully equippred with antibiotics etc. Worth checking ahead if there is access to doctors (or at least antibioties as she is not likely, hopefully, to need much more than amoxicyllin/augmentin et al.). and the other stuff you can bring with you. You may even find a doctor who might be willing to prescribe antibiotics for you to take with you as a precaution. Best of luck. It's great to take yourself out of the relentlessness of home with a baby and they do love it too - at least in my experience.
