Yes I don't see why you shouldn't have a gun frankly. They act the way they do specifically to put the wind up you, and make you think 'what are they going to do...' You can't use your size or strength in numbers to do the same to them, but the barrel of a shotgun in the face might make them pause. You didn't say you were going to use it!

And worraliberty - when a group of blokes does what mitchiest describes, a woman fear being raped and hurt. When a bloke gets leered at by some drunk girls, he fears being embarrassed. So it really doesn't compare.

I shouldn't have a gun because I would use it and in my heart don't think death penalty is proportionate response or even maiming. But I would like to turn the tables now and then and give some of these people a taste of the fear, except don't fancy armed police showing up at my house etc

so will speak to landlord and neighbours about it instead, customers just need to be reminded to use the pub garden to smoke in
