Can we forget about the plumber?

THANK GOD in Chat so long gone now Grin

Bumfuzzle · 19/05/2011 22:17

Ta V much. I found a website with lots of really odd words. I shall be amusing myself for a while Grin

Hmm i need to get out more.

Bumfuzzle · 19/05/2011 22:18

ShirleyKnot · 19/05/2011 22:28

I remember the plumber.

HA HA HA HA HA

shineoncrazydiam0nd · 19/05/2011 22:34

that was bof, not me! I innocently texted him happy xmas back and before i knew it he was talking about anal sex.

Jesus!

ShirleyKnot · 19/05/2011 22:59

A to the R to the motherfucking F

porcamiseria · 19/05/2011 23:00

fucking annoys me too

EggyAllenPoe · 19/05/2011 23:06

i find the list of 'Mn things' funny usually..

mine would be 'pampas grass, pombears, dead hamster poetry'

or 'dave the hairy trucker, spreadsheets, that buggerous Bat'.

it's kind of your MN experience in a capsule. Some of the namechangers are really obvious and i know straight away who they are. some not.

EggyAllenPoe · 19/05/2011 23:07

and Shiney, the plumber may have een BOF, but the waiter was you!

BitOfFun · 19/05/2011 23:09

The plumber wasn't me! I merely live-blogged Shiney's shame...

bibbitybobbityhat · 19/05/2011 23:14

Do those answers help you op?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 19/05/2011 23:48

What's to stop a troll from saying "I'm a regular but I've name-changed"? It sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Confused

bibbitybobbityhat · 19/05/2011 23:49

Yes, I think many trolls have cottoned on to that disclaimer.

Perhaps they have had a super injunction under the old name.

Workinggally...If you dont GET IT its not good blaming mumsneters have you tried a dating agency.

SERIOUSLY...Mumnet make the rules here and NOT us humble mumsnet
posters. I think we may make rather ineficcient Managers of the sites.

And I hope you GET IT very soon.

TrillianAstra · 20/05/2011 10:33

What I like best is this:

First post: I've namechanged because this is embarrassing but I am a regular - red rug/cube of poo whatever (or penguins/pouffe of poo for newer "regulars")
Second post: Oh fuck

:o

ashamedandconfused · 20/05/2011 10:38

I namechange often, for several of the reasons mentioned above - I have discussed in detaill my kids medical conditions and their school, which outs me to anyone in RL

I have discussed very personal issues about sex and marriage - which i want noone else to know!

I have been very open about the stillbirth of a child and tried on many occassions to offer support to others going through tough times

I need different names for all these, cos I dont want the whole playground knowing my business

i dont agree with the namechangers who namechange all the time to hide their trolling/bullying/stalking of other people on here though

ScousyFogarty · 20/05/2011 10:42

Whater nickname we use here ; it has no real validity except on mumsnet.

I dont think there is any future in us trying to run the sites. But we must keep posting on them; because thats what Mumsnet want. They thrive because we post.

SO my advice would be stop your niggling jock (Even if you are English)

Do we have many people posting from foreirn countries. I had an Aussie the other week

And I had a newspaer ring me 2 weeks ago. (so maybe we are better known than we think) Hmmmm

ShirleyKnot · 20/05/2011 10:43

That would make a good thread Eggy.

Mine would be: MN regular namechanged for this..StrawberryShortcake, Bedroomy Things, What the Jeff.

aldiwhore · 20/05/2011 10:47

I'm a newbie (and regular, damn you MN you're addictive)and am delighted you can actually change your name, we weren't allowed on another site.... you had to get banned first. Wink

I should think I'll probably name change at some point purely because I can, and not too keen on my nickname either. I think it enables people to talk about more sensitive issues or, after a spat feel free to continue posting without past threads being brought up again and again.
