I want to but another pushchair my DH is not happy as DD is only 4.5 mths old.

We're first time parents and this is going to be our only child - we did not research (possibly the most important purchase) effectively. My parents bought us a stunningly beautiful Lebruss travel system - which is huge, impractical (i walk the dog 3 times a day and need something nippy) and cost a fortune. We were also given a Quinny Buzz 3 but this was quite old, the wheelbase was massive at the back so no good for shops - we have now passed this on to someone else.

When DD got to 3 mths we bought a stroller, it is much nippier and smaller so good for dog walking and shops but it is very lightweight. My mum is going to help with childcare, she can't get on with this and would prefer DGD to face her at least until she's toddling and thinks this one is too low, but agrees that the Lebruss they bought us is too big (she drives a teeny car and wouldn't be able to take it anywhere).

So I want to buy number 4 my husband thinks i've gone mad but i think there must be a good solution - small, nippy, rear facing lasts up to toddler age costs no more than £3-400 and will replace everything else.

AIBU? I really think I might be but need to resolve it. If i'm not (or even if i am) please can you make some recommendations, i really don't want to be buying number 5 in a few months!!

Thank you all, now that i know it's not entirely unreasonable, I am avidly researching.

Cheers

We have a petite star Kurvi, faces both ways, fits in a polo boot. Not an umbrella fold- you have to disconnect the top but very good value and is easy to do. It is fairly light and has adjustable handle bar. Can be 3 or 4 wheeler.
Websites like preciouslittleones seem to have better deals than boots etc (it can be a travel system and they throw in the car seat).

another vote for the phil and ted here - and even if you are only planning on having one child, worth getting the extra seat, if you're out shopping and need to carry a load of stuff back it gives you loads of extra space to put stuff! Fantastically easy to push along, folds up easily, love it.

Or if you have a contrary 2 year old you might find like me that they like to snuggle up in the bottom and you end up with the top seat full of shopping bags...
