I am hitting a mid life crisis I think.
I am 40 I live in trackies and trainers because of my job.

I am a practical kinda person.

But I feel so darn frumpy
I am 14/16 5 ft 3 and I just need to find myself again

I want a classy look, timeless kinda stuff as my budget is not huge so dont wnat to just go with fashion.

Prefer flats or low heels for shoes.

Where on earth to I start.

I have lived so long in my work wear or just jeans and a t shirt.

When I was younger I used to love clothes but now I just seem to be lost behind my uniform.

Wel depending on budget, if you have a couple of hundred quid, you could get your colours and your style analysed by professionals. I recommend houseofcolour.co.uk/. You could also do just style, or just colour to start with. I know it's a lot of money but I think it's a really worthwhile investment. With style they take into account your personality, your job, you body shape, so you still look like you, but a better you.

get yourself a personal shopper! They are free in places like John Lewis, House of Fraser, Selfridges.

Spend a good 3 hours with them and try stuff on in the privacy of a separate room.

The stylist takes on board what you are looking for. There is no obligation to buy anything and the whole session is absolutely FREE.

Had mine at House of Fraser in Oxford St and it was a real eye opener.

Also go to John Lewis/Fenwicks and have a proper bra fitting and invest in a few expensive good quality under garments...

Have fun!
