I'm absolutely fabberglasted that so many of you can remember your PE teacher.

I wonder if that's because PE is a bit more interesting than other subjects, thus making the teacher more memorable?

What would've happened if I had picked RE teacher?

Chaos I can remember my RE teacher too....Mr Wardle. He was lovely. I have a ridiculously good memory and could most likely list all my teachers from Mr Whitehead in Reception upwards! The only reason I did particularly well in my O Levels is not because I was super clever, simply because I just remembered everything in my books once I'd read them a couple of times. Very handy skill to have at times. Fucking unhandy at others Grin

I'd say YABU for posting this in YABU, when it isn't a YABU question! I want to read about children at weddings and fights with inlaws

I don't remember my PE teacher but I do remember my RE teacher. Her name was Mrs Lee and everyone was horrible to her, and used to take the mickey out of her "tree trunk" legs - she had Elephantitis. I even remember the song we used to sing to her, in the tune of Land Of Hope And Glory:

"Land of Hope and Glory,
Mrs Lee was having a bath
2F (name of our class) looked through the keyhole
And had a jolly good laugh
Ha HA HA"

I saw her about 10 years later on the street and went up to her and apologised profusely for all the hardship we gave her!

heliumballoons · 16/05/2011 22:21

you alopogise a lot Chaos Wink

I can also remember my RE teachers in secondary - Mr Stent and Mr Powney. Grin

And the name of the fit History teacher, smelly maths teacher, strict Geograpghy teacher, Food tech teacher who never shaved her pits (they were inches long and hung over our food), funny Physics teacher, English teacher who kept Gin and spare slouch socks in her cupboard and many others who thankfully are remembered just for being nice or inspirational. Grin

startail · 16/05/2011 23:00

I can remember both my RE teachers too, but that's because I'm a rebellious Atheist and enjoyed causing the poor chaps grief.
Haven't got any public transport and likewise 4 doors left is feild of F**ing oil seed rape. (It's costing me a fortune in Benedryl)
