OK I know probably not the right place but am now wondering if I'm doing the right thing.

I'm on my own with ds who is just shy of six months. He's normally a very happy baby and only had the odd times of colic which can be sorted fairly easy. But for the last two days he has been really upset, and refusing milk (I formula feed after failin at BF). He's dry and it doesn't seem to be colic (it's not his crying pain). So today I managed to get him off to sleep by firstly going for an hour long (he woke as soon as got home), then for a 20 min walk (asleep as soon as we got round the corner) and now again folowing a half hour walk. After the first walk, he did sleep well for a couple of hours. But in his pram Blush. he then finally had a good bottle of milk.

So after taking him out for his walk now, I've left him in his pram again. (i've only been home 10 mins). I've tried his normal routine, he had a bath but refused milk and wouldn't settle. half of me thinks well he needs the sleep and his pram goes flat but it's not one of those bassinet type things. The other half thinks I should get him out and try milk again or take him upstairs. I just feel like I'm losing perspective on whats ok to do.

So AIBU to leave him in there so at least he gets some sleep?

My favourite sleep position was, in the shopping trolly, with the toilet rolls propped under her head! Grin

I'm all for leaving sleeping babies/children exactly where they fall! (Unless its quite literally in their dinner, which happened more than once - bit mean I think!Wink)

Awwwwwww it's hard when you get so wound up in what you 'should' be doing and doing what works for you. napping in his pram is fine, the sleep would do him the world of good. He is obviously having a really good, relaxing nap seeing as he is settled and taking lots of milk afterward. You sound like you are doing a fantastic job.

FWIW my DD2 would only sleep in her bouncy chair from birth, I had to rock her with my foot and if I stopped she screamed. DD1 had to be walked and walked and walked or driven (then we got rid of the car) to get to sleep, she just would not fall off without help. Once she was asleep she was fine and stayed that way for a few hours.
