What is your issue?

SATsEnough · 11/05/2011 17:21

"Some universities will charge up to £9,000 a year". Define 'some'. Obviously the implication is that students will be able to get tuition in most universities for "up to £6000 a year". This is a lie (or have I been asleep for the last few months?

I can't see the problem, the logistics of working out how many univerisites are charging what for which courses would be a nightmare, 'some' covers it well imo.

Ok, have just relinked and the website has been amended so totally get your confusion!!!! Fortunately, still have the first version open on my PC.

A quick rethink methinks before more s* hit the fan.

Pretty much end of thread then.

I can't understand all the concerns re charges. Students don't have to pay upfront. They only pay back when they are earning over quite a reasonable amount. Can't understand why people are saying they can't afford to go to Uni. Why? You get a loan for your course fees, a loan for your living costs and a grant if your parental income is low. Do some parents seriously feel obliged to pay for their son or daughters university education? Why? I must be a hard mother. Wink. Both of ours knew it was expected they would support themselves.

Have saved and printed the two versions for prosperity! Shame - was looking forward to a lively discussion!

Grin at least I wasn't missing something!

I also don't get the whole problem, I have student loans, you don't start paying back until you earn 21k, which is less than it was, but is still a fairly decent wage, and if my rfepayments are anything are to go by it is about £100 a month so not too bad
