To be considering this re neighbour's parking

My neighbour is one of those types obsessed with his parking 'space' outside his own house (ordinary public road, you never have to park that far away). He once moaned/ shouted at me in the morning for parking in 'his' spot. Just arrogant, told me to 'watch my car'. I laughed as he drives a new 4x4 Merc whereas I have a 18 yr old wreck so playing that game is daft. Really went out to intimidate me as he saw the easy target of a youngish mum with a baby (I'm not though).

Now he's taken to leaving his bin/ recycling bins in 'his' spot when he goes out. He's just gone out. I have a huge urge to move my car, park there, and place the bins in the same spots on my parcel shelf/ back seat/ front seat.

Tee hee.

I'd paint a space outside his house with his registration number and the word 'WANKER' in capital letters.

Obviously I'd use washable paint. OBVIOUSLY Wink

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 10/05/2011 20:09

Bahahaha that would look properly funny Grin

Don't though, he'd probably report you for 'stealing' his bins.
Though if he's causing an obstruction with them....

He sounds a real joy.

worraliberty · 10/05/2011 20:11

He can get done for obstruction like my Dad's neighbour did.

thisisyesterday · 10/05/2011 20:13

oh please go and park your car there! please!

Then come and tell us what he does on his return!

MenaZovut · 10/05/2011 20:17

Ooooo bin on the ROOF, better!

discobeaver · 10/05/2011 20:17

Superglue the bins in place!

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 10/05/2011 20:19

Yes, yes, on roof!

Then you haven't actually taken them.

Do it do it!

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 10/05/2011 20:19

Why would you want to put his dirty old bins in your (almost) classic vehicle?

If you put the bins on the pavement where they belong, what are the chances of another driver parking in the space?

Apart from the fact that he's got no right to create a designed parking spot for himself on a public road, doesn't your council have some rule as to when bins are allowed to be placed outside the householder's boundary walls?

I, and numerous others, once had to share a road with a similar tosser individual. We'd just move his bins and the no-parking cones he collected and placed on the road, and park regardless.

I mean, what's he gonna do except get himself in a whole heap of trouble if he messes with someone else's car?

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 10/05/2011 20:20

I'm actually chortling at the mental image Grin

MenaZovut · 10/05/2011 20:20

To MY car disco? Hmm

Trying to dare DH to do it

i think disco means to the floor. that would also be very, very funny

MenaZovut · 10/05/2011 20:25

lol, makes more sense.

Maybe just remove the wheels from the wheelie bin?

Kids are killing themselves laughing here trying to think of what to do.

DS has suggested bricks in the bins, thus rendering them impossible to move out of the space when he returns.

Grumpla · 10/05/2011 20:28

Wheelclamp the bins!!!

discobeaver · 10/05/2011 20:29

No not to your car, to the road!

thisisyesterday · 10/05/2011 20:30

you could always just put the bins back exactly where they belong (where he normally keeps them) but don't park in the space
then he'll be really confused as to why they've been put back

do it every single time he leaves them there and he'll start thinking he's going crazy

Fontsnob · 10/05/2011 20:30

Fill the bins with water, and two goldfish.

thisisyesterday · 10/05/2011 20:30

quick drying cement might be better, cos he'd be able to tip the bricks out... Grin

izzywhizzyletsgetbusy · 10/05/2011 20:31

I know that, Bluddy, but seriously it's fucking irritating when twats like this one start trying to hijack pieces of public road for themselves.

This smug knob needs a knock from his council's Highways Dept or the local constabulary - it doesn't warrant a 999 but maybe there's a local community police officer who'll drop a cautionary word in his shell-like?

discobeaver · 10/05/2011 20:31

As a long term piss take, you should do a chalk outline of a body in 'his' space, like you see on American police shows, then get some police tape and cordon off his area.

MenaZovut · 10/05/2011 20:32

thisisyeaterday- that's what ds just said!

I like dh's idea of lying them flat at the kerb and painting a double yellow on them, just for sheer confusion.

How is he going to move the nibs to park his car?
