So....what colour are they? Pic on profile....she's 3.3months...so I assume they're set now?

YABU.

headfairy · 05/05/2011 20:43

thanks for the correction, I kind of worked that out after I'd posted

Why are you so concerned she might have a mixed eye colour?
Someone once told my my ds's eyes were pond colour... kind of murky bluey brown. They're properly brown now but for a while pond was the best description.

hellymelly · 05/05/2011 20:47

they look green to me,but eye colour does change anyway, my eyes are now bluer than they were when I was a teenager. My dds eyes were blue until she was over a year and then they went green.

winnybella · 05/05/2011 20:48

They seem grey to me-lovely colour. Deffo not hazel or green.

ongakgak · 05/05/2011 20:48

I am only joking about boring blue- My DS is blonde and blue eyes- not from me or my DH. Milkman? Wink

hellymelly · 05/05/2011 20:48

They are really beautiful eyes by the way!

KittySpencer · 05/05/2011 20:52

I'd say grey. Lovely colour.

We are all boring brown. Not even a touch of hazel!

TheVeryAngryMumapillar · 05/05/2011 20:53

IME lighter eye colours change according to the amount of light too... my blue eyes can seem grey when it's over cast, but on a sunny day they go much bluer, or if I'm on a beach or in a snowy place. Ditto if I have a bit of a tan, my eyes look much bluer than when I'm pasty.

Honeybee79 · 05/05/2011 20:56

I think grey but hard to tell from the pic.

SoupDragon · 05/05/2011 20:57

DS2s used to be that colour, a fabulous grey that changed colour depending on what he was wearing. He is now hazel.

TheVeryAngryMumapillar · 05/05/2011 20:58

Did they Soup? Even after three?

OP posts:
MotherMucca · 05/05/2011 21:03

Smokey green.

schroeder · 05/05/2011 21:04

Nah blue is dull everyone, (well lots of people in the uk anyway) has blue.

I suppose it's like having curly hair, if you've got it you want straight hair.
Confused

People are onery Grin

Merle · 05/05/2011 21:28

OP - AIBU - asking people the colour name they would use to describe my child's eyes?

When you think about it, these labels are pretty general - none has eyes of just one colour.

Anyway, my answer is still yes you are being unreasonable, without a reason for why it matters and/or why it matters what people on here think.

TheVeryAngryMumapillar · 05/05/2011 21:30

Blah blah Merle! Blah blah! Grin

I can't see any photos as you don't seem to have a profile??

Re;why OP is asking...it could be for filling in a passport form or whatever. My DDs eyes vary in colour and I never know what to put for her eye colour

mookle · 05/05/2011 21:36

Why cant I see your profile to comment on said childs eyes?? What did I do wrong?

duchesse · 05/05/2011 21:37

Can't see your photo. DD3's eyes were blue and limpid translucent grey at 3 months. I started knitting her a blue and grey jumper, and by the time I'd finished it, the grey bits in her eyes had gone green. Pesky baby. She now has eyes that range from grey to green through blue depending on her state of health and the weather it seems. The jumper still suits her no matter what colour her eyes are that day, thankfully.

undertheboredwalk · 05/05/2011 21:38

Can't see any pics, but they def could still change, DD's were intensely blue until she was about 6, now they're very green, mine changed from blue to green at around 6 or 7 too.
