Just made some homemade hummus DS (6.5 months) luuuurves it, but it's got loads of garlic in and now he's got garlic breath!!

Too young to brush his teeth - shall I just leave him or shall I offer him out as a neighbourhood vampire-repellant..?

why is he too young to brush his teeth?

My dd loves houmous too, especially the caramelised onion stuff, so she often has garlicky and onioney breath...

YABVerySensible.

(Not too young to brush his teeth, if he's even got any yet) Maybe you can get him to munch some parsley, that'll sort it Smile

Ds loves garlic, but I have always given his teeth an extra brush after it!

izzybizzybuzzybee · 05/05/2011 16:46

If he has teeth them you should be brushing them, you're advised to brush them the minute they pop thru, might help with the garlicky breath!

bigredtractor · 05/05/2011 16:47

He has a tooth. I shall brush it!

Eat some hummus too.

I remember dd's first garlic breath, from a vegetable cobbler at nursery, it was very odd ,but cute.

headfairy · 05/05/2011 16:55

ds's first childminder was Ugandan and used to make the children loads of really garlicky food, curries and what not. He always had the stinkiest poos and nappies. By God she'd sort out his fussy eating habits now if we still lived near her!

ellifino · 05/05/2011 16:56

Aww I remember being a bit sad the first time my babies smelled of garlic instead of sweet delicious baby breath.
