Just a gripe. I don't see how you can say something offensive and pretend you didn't say it by using the strikethrough function. AIBU?

Today I wanted my Facebook status to read "...has been in bed all day mucking around on my laptop recovering from a horrible virus while DH looks after the kids". Damn FB for not doing strikethrough - it should definitely be available everywhere!

thisisyesterday · 02/05/2011 22:37

agentzigzag, that is the funniest reply I've read on here today Grin

EmmaBemma · 02/05/2011 22:38

well, AgentZZ - wouldn't it be dull if we all liked the same things.

wook · 02/05/2011 22:38

I also wish strikeout (and the Biscuit emoticon) was available IRL!

It's done all forums which have a strike through, it's not a MN thing.

AgentZigzag · 02/05/2011 22:39

But can I depend on you to back me up in a bunfight freudian, or did you not mean it because you crossed it out?

wook · 02/05/2011 22:40

Strikeouts are the next best thing to asides

Where are you OP?

I need to know if you really took it seriously before I go to bed.

colditz · 02/05/2011 22:43

It's a mutter, surely?

So i can say things like "Awww my children have been really creative today, you should see how many infinitessimally tiny pieces of paper I have all over my living room the little fuckers!"

GapsAGoodUn · 02/05/2011 22:44

I love the strikeout and also wish I could use it on fb and emails because I have no life.

It adds immeasurably to the richness of my life and I enjoy the superlative nature of it's erm mutteringunderbreathness.

fucked it up there but I don't think anyone will notice except maybe EmmaBemma

RockStockandTwoOpenBottles · 02/05/2011 22:49

I love the strikeout too and frequently post on FB with stupid lines either side of stupid phrases. Want it in texts as well. GAGU it's easy to do in emails if you use outlook....

Honeydragon · 02/05/2011 22:52

Has she gone off offended come back yet?

She3po · 02/05/2011 22:55

Calm down you fucking tool dear :)

hmc · 02/05/2011 23:03

Has someone bothered you with their use of strike out? as it seems a disproportionate overreaction that they might have?
