AIBU to assume the royal family were told last week that OBL was dead and that's why the honeymoon was cancelled?
They should have told us all when they were on the balcony, that would have got a big cheer!

My money is on them going to the Isles of Scilly.

The Isles of Scilly are beautiful, but it might not be too warm yet, so it would be a good idea for them to postpone until later in the year. Also probably a good place from a security point of view.

Don't think the two are linked. TV is on and the BBC have just said that there very likely wouldn't have been any advance briefing for other countries as it was a US only mission.

If it is true I doubt very much the Royals would have been told he had been killed. They would have just been advised by M15 or whoever that there was an increased risk, so they shouldn't go abroad.

If USA and UK forces were tracking Bin Laden and knew things were going to come to a head, and there could be a backlash, they would act after the wedding and protect the Royal family.

As pointed out on another thread, the invitations went out in February and it was known then the Obamas weren't coming. Do you really think they kept this under wraps for 3 months?

I thought they might have had a tip-off, and delayed honeymoon too.
