To be fed up

dh has gone to bed in a sulk because he has run out of beer (we are budgeting and don't want to overspend on alcohol). Am downstairs on my own after his strop and feeling a bit fed up. Think watching the wedding today made me wish I had a lovely relationship :(

If his life depends so much on alcohol that he is actuall stropppy without it, I suggest he gets help. YANBU

icooksocks · 29/04/2011 20:57

Oooh sorry about the typos Blush

I loved the wedding today but don't let it fool you. I'm sure not everything in perfect in that camp, they'll have their fair share of problems to contend with.

As for the hubby, let the bugger sulks all he likes. Don't let his mood bring you down :)

Ladyloo · 29/04/2011 21:00

He does like a drink - he had a six pack on Wednesday and only had one left today so is annoyed as it is Friday night and he had to go to bed in a sulk. Not an excessive amount of alcohol, I know and I did then offer to give him some money for more, but he was in a sulk then. I have to control all the money as he spent around £3000 when I was on maternity leave on fruit machines and beer. Sounds like a right catch, doesn't he...

Sorry you're feeling lonely too hoops :(

Feeling your pain here. Diddums is nodding off and dribbling on sofa having just returned from "popping out for an afternoon pint" at some point today. Don't know what point as I was at work from 7-4.

Maybe he should have started drinking later so that he wouldn't have had to retire so early.

Just saw he drank one beer, what would be the point it wouldn't even touch the sides.

Good on you for taking control.

Ladyloo · 29/04/2011 21:11

Glad you all seem to agree with me - dh makes me think I'm the unreasonable one (and I know I can be, at times!). He resents me being what he sees as controlling, but unfortunately I have to be as he cannot look after money.

can you not get more beer?

Ladyloo · 29/04/2011 21:18

I could, but can't drive, so would be a 15 minute walk in the dark. Plus I have a baby asleep on me who wakes up when I put him down. Would have got beer earlier today if dh had asked me.

Can he walk to get some?

Ladyloo · 29/04/2011 21:26

Yes but says he doesn't want to now. He is sulking.
