...a house guest sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room to be up and dressed by now?

It is DP's friend. DP works for a national newspaper so is at work today. DD (17 months) and I are sitting on a dining room chair in a corner of the living room.

DD's room is too small for her to play in and our room is still in chaos due to recent move...

Go out and leave him to it.

BelleDameSansMerci · 29/04/2011 11:08

YANBU but suggest you gently point out to guest that you need to get the room sorted, etc, and that the bathroom is free...

Wake him up - that's just bloody rude! Guests should be there to visit you!

tazmosis · 29/04/2011 11:20

Make him a cup of tea, gently wake him up and hand him a towel - and tell him there is plenty of hot water should he like a shower or a bath.

squeakytoy · 29/04/2011 11:40

Why not just say loudly, here is a cup of tea, and give him a nudge. I wouldnt sit there fuming.

Al1son · 29/04/2011 11:58

Is he up and about yet?

maudelovesya · 29/04/2011 12:05

he is now...thank goodness.

DD is now playing happily on the floor.

I offered a coffee and that seemed to do the trick. Grin

That is rude, but I imagine he is childless. Before DD came along, me and DH would not have thought of getting out of bed before 9 on a weekend or holiday.
Actually, come to think of it, he still doesn't.
