Freaking BF+?

We time "stuff" around it and each and every month...BFF-.

Bastards.

Today i am kinda walking funny because of the pain in my abdomen, taken paracetamol and still got discomfort through that.

So what the heck do you think is occurring for me to have pain on day 14/15 and sometimes 16 every month if not ovulation, and why have we been trying for 17 months now with nothing to show for our efforts except for loads of sheets to wash???

Hmmmm, impatiently taps foot and glares accusingly at no one in particular.....

Well, I was only diagnosed last year at the age of 39, having been anaemic on and off for around 15 years, and I actually had no digestive symptoms such as sickness or diarrhoea with it. However, I do now have osteoporosis and have had both premature labour and miscarriage, all of which are known to be associated with coeliac. So it's not such a stupid question.

bigbumum · 01/05/2011 09:35

Not at all a daft question herby. TBH i am pretty much desperate for any suggestions as i have never got to the bottom of my mcs and infertility.

I dont suffer from anemia or any thing like that, just pain mid cycle that i have to take analgesia for in order to function normally.

It's probably ovulation pain. What mKes you think it isn't? I get it from about two days before lh surge and two days after. Like a bit crampy and like a bruise?

Have you had any rests re: fertility? Used Ov predictor kits?

hairylights · 01/05/2011 09:47

Although reading up on endometrosis I have symptoms ... But been told scans have not picked it up (and been refused lap even though I had no movement in one tube at hycosy and now three miscarriages) :(

bigbumum · 01/05/2011 09:49

yup, had every blood test you can think of.

Ov tests as i say, pile of shite, i did them for a couple of months, same time every day and every single one was negative. so if reaked out thinking i am not ovulating, i must be menopausal, but blood tests are all normal for ovulation.

I am confident that i am experiencing ovulation apins, but some times i get shooting pains through my undercariage, and i do struggle to walk properly because of the pain in my abdomen. I just dont think tis normal.

I get exactly what you describe mid cycle too . I'm scared now I just thought I got bad ovulation pain. I want my damn laparoscopy that the Nhs is now refusing to do. :(

GeneHuntsMistress · 01/05/2011 09:54

Def sounds like you should get checked for endo. As previous poster pointed ut, you cannot see endo on scans. Ask for referral to gynae.

Also i would say instead of/as well as reading TCOYF, get a copy of Marilyn Glenille's Natural Solutions to Infertility. Think it would really help you ESP with regard to your recurrent MCs (sorry for your losses) and to help give you some control back to the whole situation.

good luck xx took us seven years and a fortune in treatment but we got there in the end and was totally totally worth all the heartache and pain Smile

hairylights · 01/05/2011 10:12

Sorry to hijack thread (but am guessing we'd both like info) it was a gynae consultant who sent me away telling me the scans showed all clear for endo . :( I also have really heavy and painful periods.

Why won't they listen to me, especially after having 3 mmc in a year? What should I do now? I was booked in for laparoscopy but got pregnant again (and miscarried) but now they won't do it.

foreverondiet · 01/05/2011 10:19

TCOYF would help you to work out if it was recurrant miscarriages or long cycles and late periods.

I also really like Marilyn Glenville's book - also have a look at the foresight preconception website, also have ideas to help - I had hair tested.

re: coeliacs - some people are diagnosed in 40s - 2 of my friends were.

Just wanted to add my support and send a wee hug, along with some "dust"! I used to post on another discusscion board, don't know if I'm allowed to say its name but the message baord was called "Trying to conceive after loss". It was a lifeline for me and I learned all sorts.

Have you ever tried Pre-Seed?? I swear it got me a BFP and I now have 2 DS after a few years of endometriosis. Twice, I had a laparoscopy booked and twice I actually got pregnant.

Pre-seed is a swimmers-friendly lubricant which really helps them stick and get to where they are going. Try looking at the website, Preseed.com, it's very informative. I bought it from access diagnostics which was great for cheap hpt's and opk's.

Funnily enough, I don't have any pain any more and I used to be floored for 2 weeks a month and was a total space cadet with all the strong painkillers.

I was 37 when I had DS1, took us almost 3 years after a mmc, then we conceived DS2 in 3 cycles!!! Didn't think for a minute that we'd get another so we were ttc, but not as fervently as before. I resumed my diet so that I was fixating on something else and that helped me.

Good luck and you have my permission to punch those idiots who tell you to relaaaaaax!!!! feck off!!!!!

oh and my friend had severe endemetriosis, was on valium a couple of days a month (married to a gp) and she had 4 IVF attempts to have her ds. Few years later, she conceived naturally and was very shocked! And over 40!

There is hope, hang in there.
