to expect my washing liquid to not make my pants smell of curry

Honestly. Every time I do a wash, my pants come out smelling of curry. Nothing else in the wash smells, just my pants. I'm a normal clean and healthy person with no underlying health issues. I eat a healthy vegetarian diet with loads of different types of meals (British, Italian, Mexican, Indian etc) so I don't think it can be that. I've even tried different brands of washing liquid, and I've run a washing machine cleaner thing through the machine. Nothing works! They still smell of curry. When they're dry they're fine.

Has anyone ever come across this before? Am I weird? I know you're all probably in hysterics now. My DH thinks I'm totally freakish.

I dont have curry pants but we did go through a stage of very fishy/cheesy smelling washing. And i was only ever odd items not all of it!

The culprit turned out to be lenor - I think it was either the yellow or blue one! I normally use a different brand but the lenor was on special offer at the time.

It also made my washing machine STINK and I was forever doing a 90 degree wash which worked for one wash load and then the machine would stink again!

Once I had used all the lenor, and went back to my usual brand, the dodgy smell went!

I've used the same conditioner ever since DS was born (3yrs), so will try switching brands. Hopefully curry pants will be banished for ever.

Ooh I went through a phase of a particular detergent/softener combo making my cotton blouses smell like hummus. After a while I did decide it was probably all in my head, but I pulled out a blouse the other day that I'd not worn for ages and, yup, definitely hummus.

My knickers now smell of piss, coz i,ve just wet myself.Mad,mad your all mad. Mad but brilliant, made my day. To the poster i,ve no idea, however my urine reeks of fish if eat salmon, so i just don't now. I love salmon.
