To Hope My Neighbours Boss Has Given Him the Holiday Tomorrow

I know I am being selfish but not sure if I am being unreasonable.

Neighbour gets a lift to work at 5am. Every morning when his lift turns up the driver gets his attention by going toot toot toot toot toooooooooooooooooot. When he doesn't come out right away he does it again. Some mornings even 3 times. When my neighbour does leave he slams the close door really loudly. I mean really loud because he is not my immediate neighbour but the next block down.

I am working tomorrow but back shift so would like some sleep first. I know dd will probably wake me early but she can usually manage until 7,7:30 if not disturbed which is a more humane time to get up than 5am.

I wish there was a ban on my neighbour. He riddles his fire and shovels coal under our bedroom window at 5.15 every morning. We are sick to death of being woken up! He knows he wakes us, but he is just a wanker and his wife is just as bad. Horrible, thoughtless people they are!!

Why can't he take coal in in a scuttle the night before? Or would that be too polite for him?

Oh they were trouble from what I have now heard, police coming to arrest them at crack of dawn, taking neighbours mail to take out loans, broke into neighbours sheds (now that is thick), dumped rubbish in close, tried to break down close door when locked out.

Your neighbours are all mad, then, xstitch. It's a pity that they deserve your wanker neighbour, whereas you don't....

You say you "try to be nice", but a slightly narked comment about the assumptions that have made might not go amiss.

I'm amazed at the number of people who think that a house's occupants, by default, will always be the same! What a weird concept! Like the house is harbouring junkie or wanker germs or something, and everyone who lives there will catch it!
