to wonder if DD is going to have identity problems later in life?

Something on the "Same baby name" thread got me a bit worried.
We had DD at the same time as DH's cousin - they are 13 hours apart, birthdays one day apart. They have the same surname and the same initial. Surnames are fairly uncommon. We live in the same LA and NHS area. Is this really likely to cause problems?

no

No because they indentify people more through their NI number and date of birth. I have the same name as quite a few of my relatives (uncommon surname) because of marriage. We use our middle names, as well, on our certificates/professional body registration.

I have the same name as someone who lives in my town. We share the same GP and it has never been a problem with the NHS as they ask for DOB first, then address as an identifier.

BT, on the other hand, did get it wrong. We moved on the same day as my namesake and we both elected to move our phone numbers to our new houses. BT got us confused and gave us her phone number, and she got ours. They of course denied that it was possible but the proof was in th pudding, so to speak!

I share an initial and surname with my father and it was occasionally a problem when it came to post.

As someone who has 14 anthonys and 16 andrews in her family... the answer is no.

That's good thanks :)
