Tescos once delivered me some mayonnaise in febuary (I remember the date because it was to make sandwiches for dds birthday party) that expired the previous SEPTEMBER!!!! What was it even doing on the shelf??!! Cue mad dash to corner shop to buy overpriced replacement!

Sainsburys, large packet of monster munch, 10 months out of date. I bought them from the supermarket myself! I now check the dates on everything, they were a tad chewy Sad

It's bad stock rotation Nota, they are supposed to put the new stock at the back so the older stock gets sent out first. Simples!

but on close inspection they do not feel that bad.....almost wondering if when i first found them today they were half frozen and ten hours later are thawed ....Hmm

They probably would have been frozen.

I agree that they must have been frozen, they would probably be completely green by now otherwise

That's not on, I buy croissants, buns etc to freeze & defrosted one at a time. Does that mean I'm probably refreezing most of my online shop?

I agree Bohica but i thnk that is it.... grrr

they are soft now - had they been this soft i doubt i would have looked at the date - we were all squeezing them and moaning and now they feel fresh...

I think we should know if produces is previously frozen

I went to the co-op and wanted a tub of brownies which they had on offer but none on display, and they told me I could have a tub but they'd still be slightly frozen Hmm

I think the 'fresh baked in store' line actually means 'warmed up from frozen' definitely true in our tesco Hmm

Nothing wrong with a bit of mould Grin

I brought some large wound dressings and some children's plasters in Morrisons after DD1 fell over when we were out in the first week of the holidays. I used the largest of the children's plasters all up a few days later and so broke open the dressings only to find after using one they were do not use after May 2010!

TBF the shop didn't quibble about me losing the receipt, gave me a replacement (in date), a refund and gave DD1 & DD2 a comic each. The manager was very nice to us Grin

I think that might have been because I mentioned DD1 was on anti-biotics because the wound got infected though I very much doubt using an out of date dressing caused it.
