Would you be cringing to see young men?

Yes, you are being unreasonable. And sexist.

Why not?!?! I love driving, and I enjoy fixing it too.

Why is it so much worse for a woman to drive for a living than my Lance Corporal cousin who's in the REME and has a number of female colleagues.

I didnt feel overprotective. What struck me was how young and er, not very bright they were.

YABU. They choose to be there and they have been accepted for training. Where's the problem?

the raf actually taught me to drive. boring but true.

didn't see it. but see lots of female drivers every day, so not sure why the programme would be cringey.

unless it's 'have another pop at the military' by stealth?

I missed this but really wanted to watch it. I've worked with ex-army women who learned to drive in the army (and took their test in the army), but turned out to be shocking drivers in everyday situations. As driving was part of their job had to have a few lessons.

RAF taught me to drive 4 tonners too. It is empowering tbh. No need to garner any sympathy. Those lads and lasses will be driving in Afgan in 6 months time. Very brave. All teenagers can act a bit thick, it's a defence mechanism. They'll be different "girls" and "boys" by the end of training.

ooo i will have to watch this on playback, i trained as a driver in the TA , i drove wagons, landrovers and other army vehicles and learnt to fix them and drive them over diff kinds of terrain in hazardous conditions. I am educated to degree level and am a fab driver so cringe away YABU.
