To get 3 year old DS to use sanpro

Both DSs have the wildshites. DS2 not such a problem because he's still in nappies but DS1, who is potty trained (though still in nappies at night) is following through and leaving skids in his pants. So DH says I should just put DS1 back in nappies until he's better; I think that's a step in the wrong direction and that we risk him wanting to go back to nappies full time. My cunning solution is to use a sanitary pad to contain the sharts. DH thinks I am nuts. Mumsnet jury, am i nuts or a genius?

Well, the good news is that DS1 has stopped sharting , fingers crossed he stays that way. DS2 is still shittin' for Britain (see what I did there?) though, poor little bugger.
