I don't buy really expensive clothes, but don't go for the cheapest either. Lately have been so disappointed by quality of stuff. Two recent examples.
Verbaudet -loose buttons on dress for dd.
Bravissimo - embroidery on top coming undone - loose threads everywhere.

Hems coming undone, thin fabric, shoddy stitching. Just ranting now!

So, aibu to expect more for my money? I really can't afford (nor do I want) Boden all the time, and not so convinced on quality there either.

Penguin - I hate to say it but Primark is good as their stuff sometimes comes up smaller and therefore suits skinny teens.

Otherwise my 2 like TopMan for hoodies & jeans - but prices are more ouch!!

Primark stuff for younger kids is awful, one wash and it's misshaped and the sizes are rubbish. False economy when they are cheap but only last 2 washes!

I have found a lot of high street stores have gone downhill.Top of my hitlist for overpriced rubbish is Jane Norman.Monsoon always had overpriced rubbish.

Next-used to love it,but drab and frumpy clothes now.I still like their Jeans tho.

Dorothy Perkins-got very expensive and haven't increased the quality.

New Look-ok I suppose,like their shoes

I tend to go to TK Maxx these days.

This is very depressing reading. Maybe I should learn how to make my own stuff.

Verbaudet looks smaller to us because the French are slimmer than us.
