.. 'my little girl'?

There is quite an age gap - nearly 25 years I think. She is quite young looking as well, always getting ID'd even though she's in her twenties. She thinks it's sweet and shows that he cares, but me and some of our other friends find it really weird.

YAB slightly U if the context is totally appropriate. My DP is 16yrs older than me and calls me, in his own language, 'little Rose'. He doesn't use it in an infantilising way and it isn't creepy, just a term of endearment. I wouldn't accept the same nickname from someone my own age. To him I am very young, an adult nonetheless, but enough for him to remark on it.

People have all sorts of ridiculous nicknames - the only time it should be weird is if he's using it in a Lolita sense. What about men calling their DP's 'baby'? (Although this hacks me right off, tbh Grin)

Who are you to say what is 'normal' in a relationship between two consenting adults?

PlopPlopPing · 18/04/2011 16:17

Fernie3 · 18/04/2011 16:19

WassaAxolotlEgg · 18/04/2011 16:19

Are you actually your friend?

EggyFucker · 18/04/2011 16:20

My DH calls me a shortened version of my christian name

I call him "dickhead"

the strange thing is, he answers to it Wink

(some of the above is true)

gillybean2 · 18/04/2011 16:23

They may be in a Daddy/daughter relationship. And while it may be weird or uncomfortable to you what they do behind closed doors is none of your business. It's not like their forcing it down your throat. That's if they even are...

Ormirian · 18/04/2011 16:25

Nope that is odd.

itchycoopark · 18/04/2011 16:26

What's a 'daddy/daughter relationship'? Don't think I want to google that...

No I am not my friend ( Confused )

My DH calls me Jugs?

itchycoopark · 18/04/2011 16:32

Oh right - I thought it was going to be a lot creepier than that

nulliusxinxverbax · 18/04/2011 16:32

Id argue a "daddy/daughter" relationship is very very wierd, and absolutely everybodies business, as this should be reported and the freaks should be locked away gillybean

gillybean2 · 18/04/2011 16:36

Null it doesn't mean real dad and daughter. It is simply a couple who like to role play.

dawntigga · 18/04/2011 16:37

nulliusxinxverbax well thankfully you aren't in charge and as long as it is between informed, consenting adults none of your business.

itchycoopark

Thanks for answering.

nulliusxinxverbax · 18/04/2011 16:42

ok, so do you mean they "pretend" to be father and daughter in a role play, sex kind of way? Im a little confused, and would like to be well informed before I pull my judgey trousers completely over my head Grin

Leverkusen · 18/04/2011 16:42

How weird. DP calls me 'egg' which probably sounds ridiculous to everyone else.

gillybean2 · 18/04/2011 16:45

I cut and pasted this from the odd sex guide webpage. It has porn advertising links on the side so didn't want to post the link and offend anyone....

"
The Daddy's girl fetish is a form of sexual fetishism that uses a couple's real or imagined age difference as the foundation of their sexual roleplay. It is not only practiced by an older man and younger woman, it may also be practiced by couples who are the same age, or where the woman is older than the man, because biological age is less important than the interpersonal dynamic between them. Homosexual people may also practice this type of roleplay. The "girl" role a woman plays can be any specific age up through teenage years, or can be age-indeterminate.

The lifestyle pursued by the couple (generally excluding their professional lives and contacts with others who would not approve) cast the woman as her partner's daughter. It often incorporates elements of domination and submission. These relationships can be cohabitational, but may also be practiced long-distance, as no sexual or physical contact is required. It is usually sexual roleplaying, but some couples extend it to a lifestyle and remain in role with each other at all times. They may go on outings to the playground, the movies, shopping at the mall, or out for ice cream cones. The female partner sometimes dresses in clothing appropriate to the age girl she likes to imagine being, and treated as such during roleplay.

The Daddy's girl fetish does not always involve age role play. Often, it is merely a relationship dynamic involving nurturing and care taking on the part of the parental Dominant. The parental type power is the seat of the allure in this fetish. The Daddy makes sure his "little girl" is safe, happy and healthy.

While uncommon as a fulltime lifestyle choice, a less-involved Daddy's girl/Lolita scenario is a relatively common one-time or occasional theme in many couples' private sexual roleplay, and has been featured in many movies and TV shows.

nulliusxinxverbax · 18/04/2011 16:49

thankyou gillybean.

I can now confirm my judgey trousers have swallowed me up.
Privacy of own home or not, I find that disturbing and odd.

Any mention of "Lolita" is enough to push me over the edge of judgyness anyway.

mycatoscar · 18/04/2011 16:50

my dh calls me chunky monkey. yes, he thinks he's funny

BlueFergie · 18/04/2011 16:51

I suppose it is a bit strange but if she is happy enough with/ in the relationship then I don't see the problem. A lot of women are attracted to older men as father figures so I suppose the natural balance to that is that some of these men feel a little paternal/ protective of the women. Its and adult conecting relationship so not really anyone elses business. Don't think it si sinister.

ENormaSnob · 18/04/2011 16:52

RevoltingPeasant, thanks for that train of thought Grin

BlueFergie · 18/04/2011 16:52
