the "Dog shat on my picnic" got me thinking...

If me, Dh & Kids go out anywhere or if i go out say shopping or somewhere. I will NOT use a public toilet. If i go to friends houses i have to "think" about going before i ask to use their loo. If the house seems unkept or messy or dirty i wont use it. But if its a relatives house i will.

AIBU to prefer to shat and piss on my own lav Grin or am i just been a fussy cow.

Oooh my mum is like this. She carries a little pack of dettol wipes with her to cleanse the toilet seat before she sits on another loo now. She's not even a clean freak, just hates using other toilets that much! She's better than she used to be though, she never used to use any other loos if she could help it!

I never think about which cubicle to go in when walking into public toilets. I don't usually go for the nearest as that is often dirtiest, but I don't specifically avoid toilets next to occupied ones. I thought it was just blokes who had a weird system of which urinal you stand at if a bloke is already there.. I'm not usually in long enough to care if someone is in the next cubicle or not.
re hellonheelsI often squat in the open if hillwalking etc. You just squat low with knees apart and hold your knickers in front ot of the way and stick your bum out a bit. Have never weed on my pants.
I don't understand why people who wee on the seat don't wipe it afterwards either and usually end up wiping loo seat myself if it's wet as I hate hovering. I hate people not picking up bits of toilet paper they've dropped on the floor as well, we get this at work alot, it's usually unused bits that fall out of the dispenser (it isn't on a role but like tissues) but I don't see why people don't just pick it up and put it in the bin if it falls out when they pull the toilet paper. Some people are just messy.

I agree, I never think about which cubicle to go into. I just go to the nearest clean one - even if it is next to someone.

I never realised that people were so weird about toilets-MN is an education sometimes!

"I never realised that people were so weird about toilets-MN is an education sometimes!"

LOL! It certainly is. What is worrying is that this "precious" behaviour will get passed down to the children.

exoticfruits · 20/04/2011 07:49

I would bet they got it from their parents in the first place Bunbaker!

Bunbaker · 20/04/2011 07:52

You are probably right. My mum certainly wasn't precious about this.

I really hate peeing anywhere but a home loo, though it doesn't have to be my loo. I was at Woburn safari park yesterday and even though 7 months pregnant I just could not bring myself to queue and use the very busy loos. My dh said he was going to get me a she-wee for Christmas. I am happier squatting in a field if I have to.

2Rebecca the first cubicle is actually the cleanest (people have done studies and stuff). People avoid them because they think they will be used most often but so many people think this way they actually tend to be least used.

I always go to the back stalls in the toilets in my town centre. The front four always seem to have great big poos sitting in the bowls!

I think there must be a plumbing problem, though, so not reflective of frequent use.
