To think if you go on a property tv show you might do a bit of research first

Watching A Place in the Sun with a couple who will not accept that property is twice as expensive in the area they want to move to compared to where they currently live.

Can't understand why they didn't look at property on the Internet first whereby they would have realized they can't afford the area.

I think it is another show for people who want to be on tv, like looking at houses but have no intention to move.

Ooh thanks for the reminder, forgot it was on. Switching over now!

I agree though, you get some clueless idiots on there.

Couldn't watch it after a while,so stupid!
Wasn't one of them like David walliams in little Britain.....I want that one

I once saw a quite infuriating one, in which a British family "wanted" to move to Barcelona... without really learning Spanish, and were quite annoyed that everyone there lived in flats, not houses, like they wanted.

These programmes get on my tits. I'm not convinced that any of these people are serious about moving anywhere, the TV companies just pitch up in the nearest shopping mall and say Who wants to be on the Telly and get a free weekend in Spain?

They all get on my nerves.

The worst one is Escape to the Country. I don't think I've ever seen anyone put in an offer.

Tonight's Place in the Sun made me laugh when the couple said they had to 'realise some investments' as they didn't have that sort of money lying around. The VoiceOver then commented that one of them had an offer for their house,ie that is what they meant by investments!

Yes, I underlined a passage in a newspaper the other day, something like: "people who insist on having all their household investments in one basket - their house" to show to DH, who hates property greed, too!
