to eat ood beef slices?

Sorry, its me and food again!
Just wanted some quick answers so posting here....
New sealed packet of finest sliced beef (pre cooked sarnie stuff)
Sell by 11/4, use by 12/4.

To eat with kids (4&2) at lunch or bin?

Sniff test. If it looks ok and smells ok it probably is ok.

Open it, smell it, you'll know if it's ok to eat then. I don't risk it with chicken, fish or pork but I have dogs, so that's ok. :)

If it has been sealed, and not opened until now, then it will be fine.. it doesnt magically go off at midnight on the 12th! :)

mmm, well I opened them, and they had a very slight rainbow sort of shine, so I wimped out.

Im going to chop them into a tomato pasta sauce for DH for dinner Grin

Wimp!

Rainbow shine is normal in cold sliced beef, ood or otherwise.

If you saw how much we stretch use-by dates in our house you'd have a fit.

But you are right - cooking it will remove any risk.
