soggy weetabix is gross.
they must be dry with marge and marmite on.
perhaps a small glass of milk on the side so they dont stick to the roof of your mouth...but thats it.

katykoo · 13/04/2011 21:40

No, Hazel, I bet you don't, cos you blame it on the dog...

onceamai · 13/04/2011 21:41

Ooh are you all teachers - my MIL counts food too.

nolita · 13/04/2011 21:44

hmm, in that case, i'd estimate around 48 per slice.

dependent on what type of spread is used, of course.

Lindax · 13/04/2011 21:58

Heinz 57

pinkstripes · 13/04/2011 21:58

Am i the only one here that has to have a slice of buttered bread to mop
up the bean juice thats left on the plateGrin

nolita · 13/04/2011 22:02

at bean juice. I hate soggy food. I sieve my beans before putting them by my toast and then hold plate at an angle to avoid bean-juice contamination Blush

annapolly · 13/04/2011 22:04

I hate beans, they give me the creeps. Reminds me of my RC infant school where the lovely nuns would hold my nose and ram them down my throat.

eversoslightlytired · 13/04/2011 22:05

Doesnt matter cos as soon as the toast gets soggy the beans get scraped off and put in the bin and then I eat the toast.

I also like my weetabix crumbled up with sugar and milk so it looks like a big bowl of mush!

Oblomov · 13/04/2011 22:15

I love soggy. soggy anything. Soggy yorkshires in gravy, soggy roasties in gravy ( can ou tell I've been on any other theads tonight ? Wink
The toast goes soggy, under the beans? Yum, yum, yum.
Beans on toast ? Best meal for a diabetic, or so they told me for the last 35 years. Only beaten by jacket potato with beans on !!

Fontsnob · 13/04/2011 22:18

Yes yes, soggy under bean toast is the very best kind!

marmaladetwatkins · 13/04/2011 22:20

I am weeping, weeping, with laughter at "toast on beans"

EggyFucker · 13/04/2011 22:22

I like a mix of soggy and crunchy, therefore I put one slice of toast on the plate with the beans and have one slice on a side plate

And have a large tin of beans

Gotta be real butter on the toast

all washed down with a mug of tea

lovely

HazeltheMcWitch · 13/04/2011 22:22

pinkstripes, I have slice of bread too! Was too ashamed to say earlier. So, to sum up, 2 slices of toast, buttered. Whole tin of beans ON TOP SO THE TOAST GOES ALL SOFT AND YUM. Then buttered slice of bread at jaunty angle for mopping. Someone ^up there mentioned eggs on top. Upon reading that, I wondered if I'd have room... Maybe I will find out.

EggyFucker · 13/04/2011 22:22

sorry, half a large tin of beans

nolita · 13/04/2011 22:29

I love the quiet determination of Hazel's last sentence. I imagine you surveying the kitchen with a battlewearing eye and thinking 'no, today's not the day. one day. but not today'.

Soups · 13/04/2011 22:34

Two, three if I'm starving and have been on a 30 mile run.

HalfTermHero · 13/04/2011 22:35

I have 2 slices of wholemeal toast (no spread) and a full tin of beans. You only live once, after all.

HalfTermHero · 13/04/2011 22:36

I often have grated cheese on the top too....

marmaladetwatkins · 13/04/2011 22:39

I like brown sauce on mine.

reelingintheyears · 13/04/2011 22:55

I like to bath in mine.
