Barbeques in summer.

Probably been done to death so apologies in advance.

If you are going to light a BBQ, and your neighbour has got washing on their line, (supposing you can see clearly if your neighbours have washing out), do you inform your neighbours that you will be lighting a BBQ shortly, in case they would like to bring their washing in?

Depends on the neighbour :o
I'd inform them that morning so they don't get pissy at having to take their washing in. Or the day before "We have plans for a barbecue on Sunday, weather permitting."
Rather than telling them we'll be having the bbq... My next door neighbours would put a brick through the window if we pissed them off.

I always give advance warning if something is going to be burned in the garden, to neighbours both sides. It's only polite IMHO.

I always tell my neighbours. Thus far, the courtesy has not been returned.

My neighbours twunts never warn me and baby clothes end up stinking of smoke. Their bbq's tend to be short now as they don't like metalica

Wouldn't cross my mind to tell them unless it was likely to be really noisy. TBH, I couldn't care less if they did the same and our clothes ended up smelling of bbq.

If I were that concerned, I'd just dry the clothes inside.
