Something very strange has just happened - I have to go to the police & make a statement

Ds (12yrs) & his friend have just come in from out playing & told me my nasty neighbour (next door) has just been talking to a man and this man has taken my car registration number then both men shook hands , laughed & the man left in his car . We have history of abuse & property damage from next door . I rang my local police station for advice and they want me to drop into them to make a statement as i asked them not to send a car to my house as i don't want to make things worse by alerting next door .

of course she canot be sure what they wrote down but what else is there to write down when you are stanidng looking at the back of a car really? seems a fair possiblility that she is right and i suppose if she has to speak to the police, they want her version of this back history perhaps. Don't find that all that strange tbh

Lollybrolly - i suppose because i phoned the police station that is why i have to put it on report i really don't know until i go there tomorrow morning what will happen . I did ask ds's pal (on his own) to tell me what he saw & his story is exactly the same as ds's .

This sounds more like a mindgame than actually harm about to happen this time- they know they've harmed you in the past so this time they're just doing something odd to wind you up (the laughing in particular made me think this is what they are up to). You did the right thing in reporting it anyway.

God i hate wind up neighbours, mine is a twat too, come and live next door to me and we can be happy neighbours together
