DS (6) been fine tonight in in the car home from swimming complained of feeling sick.

No temperature.

Was sick about 1/2 hour after getting home, felt better and wanted to go to bed but was sick again in bed after 5 minutes.

Fell asleep on the sofa at 10pm ish. About 20 minutes ago started being sick - he has no temperature/ rash etc but did not wake up/ has not woken up. I have cleaned him/me/sofa, stripped him off and turned him practically upside down to make sure he didn't choke but he's still asleep Confused.

WWYD re sleeping position, monitoring etc?

Yep they'll do. Anything bland he will eat tbh. Plain toast even, or plain pasta.

Ice lollies or ice pops for sugar but no ice cream. No dairy.

Hope he gets better soon, I have to go now.

thanks - not sure he'll want pasta tho Wink.

Ginger ale is good for upset stomachs too. Hope he feels better soon.

DS is awake now, very quiet and not talking and watching TV. He was sick a bit more last night but did stir whilst he was sick.

Thanks for all the advice last night. MN at it's best again. I'm sure I'll be around lot's today as won't be going anywhere. Grin

Recently DS was sick (threw up 6 times in the space of a few hours) and it turned out to be a rotten case of strep. Sounds like your DS is feeling better, but just something to keep in mind...my boy didn't have any other symptoms, just vomiting.

heliumballoons · 09/04/2011 07:47

Thanks cheerful - that is useful as I have woken up with a bugger of a sore throat and friends DD (ds best friend) has has throat infection this week. Sad Friends mum said her throat sore last night so maybe we all have a strep bug we've kindly shared. Smile

They ended up giving him a shot as they said he wouldn't keep oral medicine down. He felt absolutely fine less than 24 hours later...so that's good, at least!

Hope everyone feels better soon!

I'm feeling a bit more with it - after dettoxing the house and washing everything in vomit reach. Grin Throat itches so maybe my hayfever, DS has hayfever too and thats what I'd put his snotty nose and croaky voice the past week down too.

He has had some flat coke and a few (about 20!) savoury bites, they are about 1cm in diameter! - but he says he's full up. He is not complaining of feeling ill just isn't eating.
