Thats really radical for me.

Numberfour - I am fucking cross with myself. I have no self control at the moment and there really is no excuse for it. Due back at work in June and not a chance in hell of even getting half way into work clothes at the moment.

Need to have a serious word with myself and take some drastic action. I feel gross!

I'm up north and in flip flops and t shirt. It's been boiling today in our garden. I'm worried I'm sunburnt..

schroeder · 08/04/2011 18:03

pawsnclaws · 08/04/2011 18:26

Lovely weather for a walk, cardi or not. Pity me though lovely mumsnetters I'm running a marathon on Sunday - weather forecast says 21 degrees Sad. I'm going to bake like a sausage on a barbecue.

TattyDevine · 08/04/2011 18:28

Is that the marathon Paws?

pawsnclaws · 08/04/2011 18:30

No, that's the week after - when the weather is expected to be a much more pleasant (for runners) 13 degrees. Make the most of it people, it can't last!

MikeOxstiff · 09/04/2011 06:12

I had shorts on sandles on (no socks) and had a nice afternoon in the garden
Kids at school/nursery
This is what being a SAHD is all about
The sun is coming up into a clear blue sky. Looks like today is going tobe nice as well

GabbyLoggon · 09/04/2011 11:48

As you get older your circulation is not so good. (Hence the cardy)

The sun was slow to come out this morning. But its out now (Another boiler) We deserve it after that long winter.

My wife has tried (and failed) to get me into shorts. Its just not me.

Another thing; I live well North of Watford...and if I allow my private parts to get frozen it takes me 3 moths to thaw them out. (Its an age thing.)

I will give you a bit of private information ...please regard as confidential ....
I dont want it to get in the tabloids: I keep my socks on in bed. (its the extremities which are vulnerablewith older people) I sleep on my back and I bet you cant guess where I put the hot water bottle in winter.

N'er clast a clout, till May is out,
According to my Mother anyway!

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 09/04/2011 12:03

Sod that. Cardie is staying as it covers my bingo wings nicely Wink

Paschaelina · 09/04/2011 12:03

My jeans stay firmly on til the end of June, and go back on again in early September. Bloody hell I hate chilly legs.

3 moths, Gabby? Do you breed them?

My guess is your knees. Cold knees are horrible.

lesley33 · 09/04/2011 12:11

"ne'er cast a cloot til May is oot"

This saying refers to mayflower, not the month. The mayflower is out in my garden, so perfectly fine to cast a cloot.

Honeybee79 · 09/04/2011 12:13

Gabby! I think we can guess where you put that hot water bottle . . .

GabbyLoggon · 09/04/2011 12:27

I am suprised at you, Honeybee....I had you down as "Enters nunnery
within 5 years."

OP posts:
Honeybee79 · 09/04/2011 12:28

Ahem. A bit late for a life of penance and prayer methinks. They wouldn't have me - used goods hehe Grin

GabbyLoggon · 09/04/2011 13:09

Honeybee, I too am very much used goods. The knackers yard await. I will
go down shouting. "You have got the wrong man, don,t I have an innocent face.? You will hear from my lawyers in the morning.. no, I wont take off my Cardigan."

Currently 38c here in Dubai, we're sat inside in the aircon. Off to the UK tomorrow and anticipate being freezing - even if it is 20c and sunny. Just rooted out the fleece from the back of the drawer!

LaWeasel · 09/04/2011 13:59

I think I just got sunburnt doing the gardening Shock that'll teach me to be lax with the sunscreen.
