Stop bumping old threads for the purposes of research. FFS.

'If Tesco don't go, we don't go'

My motto too Grin

(what is a disabled discount, how would one qualify?)

SiamoFottuti · 06/08/2011 18:53

would you ever piss off? And try to judge your audience better, you have failed miserably here. Hmm

empirestateofmind · 06/08/2011 18:59

I have reported to MN and have messaged themeparkspy as he/she is really getting my goat.

I have had no reply from either party.

ilovesooty · 06/08/2011 19:06

£2 to park seems pretty cheap to me.

Acekicker · 06/08/2011 19:09

empire go play with the survey in the meantime... I've had great fun providing random data that will need analysing Wink

We've just been to Alton Towers water park today. Thought it was great value (apart from food) £36 for 3 of us to get in and although you have to pay to park at the main theme park you don't at the water park. Next time I'll take a packed lunch and go and sit in the changing rooms (£18 for 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks!)

TBH there are usually loads of 241 vouchers for major theme parks - I wouldn't pay full price.

Practically everyone had to drive to them to as they are all a trek from public transport so even if you aren't disabled you need a car.

empirestateofmind · 06/08/2011 19:18

Haha acekicker, what a good idea Grin.

pointydog · 06/08/2011 19:20

Do you know that if you visit a tourist information office close to the theme park, they often have great discounted tickets on offer?

Check it out, man

pointydog · 06/08/2011 19:21

we are lucky living near to Busch Gardens, in that for not much more than a one off ticket price we can go all year round to both the theme park and the water park. We go about once a weekend and 2-3 times during the week in the holidays, so it works out cheaply enough for us. I am constantly shocked how much people who go for just a day are forced to shell out though - $18 parking, $60 each per ticket, then $20-$30 for any momento photos, $7 for a drink (the cup is refillable for 99cents a time, but that only works out as good value if, like us, you buy one cup for the whole family then reuse it all year)... the prices are just extortionate and I can quite see why people don't go. I think it is a bit sad that our kids don't realise how lucky they are to go so often - they actually don't see the theme park as any better than a play park and get more excited about these indoor inflatable play places that only cost 3.50 a day...
