dont like gardening with a audience

i live next to a nice young couple but they have this annoying habit of entertaining people in their front garden, i just dont get it when they have a really nice big back garden.

i have just done half of my front garden but feel really imtimidated and have come in because the couple and one set of the inlaws are sat out in the front garden just watching my every move and they dont even try to hide the fact that they are openly watching me.i know its not just me as my 15 year old daughter keeps complaining that she hates coming and going from the house as they always go quiet stare at her and then start whispering shes overheard them talking about her hair,clothes etc.

when the couple are alone they always are friendly but when they have visitors they never speak

i was thinking of growing a privet but then i would be out there cutting it lol,today i managed to paint my front fence just kept getting the "you have missed a bit "comments.i very much doubt my 15 year old would say something but shes a dab hand at throwing dirty looks.

Privet too slow growing anyway. Get a Big Fence.

Some new houses were built next to my mums old house. One of the prospective buyers had the cheek to come around and check that my parents weren't going to grow anything in front of the fence because they liked the view out of the kitchen window over our gardens

Luckily we they didn't buy the house and we were able to force the developers to raise the fence height so it was max height on their side as they were higher than we were so the fence was barely thigh high and our garden was laid out for their perusal whole theirs remained private.
