...I'm gullible enough to keep clicking on vague thread titles that look interesting but on reading the OP turn out to be A) Really boring, B) Out of place in AIBU, C) Completely fabricated or D) So obvious you shouldn't need to ask.

For example;

A) AIBU to be completely shocked and sickened that...
...my tesco receipt says I paid for 7 lemons but I only bought 6?!

B) AIBU to be really naughty and cheeky and...
...ask you all to check out my shit boring cliched highly original blog about juggling motherhood and work?

C) AIBU to be really upset that...
...my neighbour climbed a ladder and peeped into my bedroom and saw me breastfeeding and has now got the entire street together to tell me I'm sick and disgusting and now we have to move?

I agree with D, oh and B, actually having read your post again I agree with all of them Smile.
That's what can make AIBU such a larf though, there are some very witty, cutting and funny posters who can make them worth reading.

I'm thinking this might an apt thread to ask a question about AIBU. I am fairly new and have had a great laugh at some of the threads (The faux Mills and Boon one was hysterical!) and somewhere along the line someone will say "This has to go into "classics""

So...for give my ignorance...IS there an actual "classics" section or is it an umbrella term?

shakey1500 · 07/04/2011 23:27

realises she doesn't even know if there IS such a term as "umbrella term" but it sounds good

googoomama · 07/04/2011 23:27

You've made me chuckle OP! Some people must have very fragrant lives, the things they get annoyed at. I'm just happy to have dragged myself through another day really Grin Read a great AIBU once about a woman whose MIL had bought her the wrong colour la creusette dish...oh the anguish!

CrystalsandDiamonds · 07/04/2011 23:28

there is Shakey just search Classics in the search and a whole section comes up very entertaining reads

washnomore · 07/04/2011 23:32

YABU because the last time I was lambing was 2001 and smartphones weren't invented so I had to sit in a shed all night in the freezing bloody cold with sheeps fanjos for entertainment.

shakey1500 · 07/04/2011 23:36

Thanks CrystalsandDiamonds :)

Bugger, I'll never get to bed now...!

worraliberty · 07/04/2011 23:38

LMAO!! That's the funniest OP I've read in ages...really made me chuckle Grin

AngelsOnHigh · 08/04/2011 00:19

People post here because it has a high traffic volume. Also because sometimes you can get a good laugh.

Have to say AIBU has been a bit boring lately. Probably because are posting in the wrong place Grin

EvenLessNarkyPuffin · 08/04/2011 00:49

Not only do I click on the threads and get annoyed/disappointed, I usually forget and end up clicking on them again if they're in the most active list.

[no learning curve]

SarahStrattonHasNiceBears · 08/04/2011 03:39

Me either Narky, and I click again and again on the same dull threads with the interesting title. I think my short term memory is shot Confused

piprabbit · 08/04/2011 03:43

Perhaps we should ask MNHQ for a star rating on threads.
People could click to rate the thread and then the OP need only read the 5 star threads.

thumbwitch · 08/04/2011 03:58

YANBU - people should put more info in their thread title, INCLUDING YOU!! Grin

CheerfulYank · 08/04/2011 04:05

Once I started an AIBU that was "AIBU to say..." and then when you clicked it said, "It's my birthday!" :o
