Hi, I have just returned to work from maternity leave after my 2nd dd, I have decided to completely change careers so I'm starting college in September.(Will work part time through college)
My boss of seven years isn't exactly overjoyed(understandable), and is very scathing towards my new career choice. When talking about a course I'm doing at the moment she said...
"do you not realise how lucky you are to have two healthy children?"
So does this mean if you have healthy children you can't follow your dreams?
Confused

She means you should be happy with your lot basically.

eh?

Perhaps she should be told to mind her own business! Dont let a narrow minded person like that drag you down!

Thanks for your replies! I was shocked when she said it...then started to feel guilty. I have realised though that educating myself will make me a lot happier than being stuck in my dead end job, and help create a better future for my family.
If I don't try, I think its something I will always regret.

Yes, she has children, and is only one job down from the top in our workplace.
She does look down on people a lot, I thought it was maybe because she didn't like the thought of someone trying to improve their life.
