First day of spring break for schools in this part of Scotland. Came home to find, yes, a football in my garden. Considering it was a windy day here, who in their right mind allowed a person to play with a football. The gardens are big, so the kids think they can just "batter" the ball. This though leads to my windows being hit even upstairs, the conservatory being hit and the balls that are low flying well they just batter the plants. Having been a parent of three boisterous children I can understand their need for exercise but does it always have to involve a ball in a garden. This is the first day so by the end of the two weeks goodness knows how many balls will land on my property. In my previous home (33 years) I only had a ball over the fence once from neighbours. My children were never, ever allowed to play with a ball in our garden, they had to go to a park when old enough or I escorted them. Parents/carers get real, everyone should not have to suffer from your or your children's actions.
