I'm very scared of them too.

It's webs all over trees.

I know it's going to disturb me and so I can't look. But I want to. No I don't. Oh no. Confused I looked at a link posted a couple of months back, of a horrid growth, and I still can't get the image out of my head. I think I'm going to look.

There are no spiders in the photos notnow. Not even close-ups of the webs. Just photos of trees looking sort of... shrouded. If that's even a word Grin

They're strangely beautiful! And very useful, as the article says, reducing malaria. I'd much rather have spiders than mosquitoes and flies.

I'm with Meglet. It's beautiful. I don't like spiders particularly but I'd love to see as tree like that.

I looked. It wasn't so bad. Bizbee you're spot on. Eerie indeed.

It's creepy.. but in a beautiful, weird way.. not scary, horrible.

Wouldn't like to be anywhere near it though incase they all fell out on my head or something.. eww.

I've got this insatiable urge to fire a rocket launcher at those trees and torch all the spiders.

This picture was around long before April Fools day, I saw alink to it last week.

YANBU to dislike the idea of thousands of spiders living in those trees

No... decision made, I'm not looking

Am on my own tonight and can't handle intrusive thoughts about webs and their owners [fucking pathetic emoticon]

Read that all those spiders have reduced malaria due to all those spiders gobbling up the mosquitos.
Looks surreal.

Oh, it's beautiful. Trees in veils. The nature is mourning with people.

Very beautiful, and I guess the reduced mozzie population was probably a good thing for people who live in that area - although I now feel very very itchy........ shudder

I think they are amazing (and I can see why they look creepy).

I'm sure there is a group of spiders that live in the Amazon or another rainforest that do a similar thing. Their combined webs can stretch for miles.

A brilliant example of survival and adjusting to your surroundings.

The caterpillars of a moth do this too.
In England. Sleep well, guys. Grin
