The baby WILL NOT go to sleep. And I don't blame him, poor lamb. Daylight saving is dumb.

DS2 was asking DH repeatedly to please "turn off the other light, Daddy" so he could go to sleep. LOL

Oh we had the most hideous night with wakeful DS. Please wake me up this time next week when he's worked it out.

Blackout blinds start at about £8 in Tesco.

Russia axed theirs this year. Would love it if it was axed everywhere.
What about just putting the clocks back half an hour and leaving it like that?

Seems so pointless to be changing it back and forth.

I remember flying into the states and they weren't changing the clocks until the week after and all the flights were arriving at the same times instead of a more staggered timetable. Queues were a complete mare.

I'm delighted that the evenings are light again. You wait till your kids are school age, and in winter can't play out after school - then you'll love BST. Mornings are perfect right now too, its just dawn when we get up at 6:30 so the morning chorus is appreciated rather than being too early.

(I'm in the North, btw)

I have a blackout blind for Boy but its not really good enough. The light still gets round the edge. I have just invested in blackout curtains to go over the top in place of his ordinary curtains. (thank you ebay)

I thought daylight saving had something to do with not being able to have streetlights and headlights on during the war?
